fresh local strawberries….

summertime = strawberries!
we love fresh local strawberries!
tyler and i made our way to the local farm this morning and bought two flats of fresh local strawberries. we brought them home to make homemade strawberry jam. i do this every june. i managed to get three batches done today and hopefully, i will get another batch or two done tomorrow ( i have to work…. groan!)
we had such a great day today. beautiful weather. summertime is finally here. today was the ‘official’ last day of school although monday was the last day that the kids attended. so, they played on the slip’n slide all afternoon while derek and i got some much need yard work done. i am exhausted and am on my way to bed.

seattle was great! kenny chesney was totally awesome! he rocked!
that was one of the best concerts i have ever been too!
we had such a great time. we did lots of shopping! got to see some old friends, lynn and keith…. thanks so much for letting us stay you! it was so good to see you again. (i would post some pictures but i made the biggest mistake ever…. i deleted the pics before i downloaded them…. uggghhh! i am so upset with myself. i lost sooooo many pictures! i really need to get more cf cards!) lynn- i will come back to take more pics of your ‘kids’ soon though, i promise!
luckily, i didn’t lose any of my pics from the concert at qwest field.

my baby turned 5 yesterday

i can’t believe my baby is now 5. (i was feeling a little guilty because i had made the plans to go to seattle without even thinking that i wouldn’t be home until later in the day on his birthday.) lucky for me, he wasn’t bothered by it at all. we had a party last weekend with all of his little buddies. it was so much fun. we were looking at the photo album last night, remembering the day he was born, it seems like it was only yesterday.

happy 5th birthday dude! we love you very much!

Tisham: 5 was so hard for me:-( but not as hard as six!!EECK....they just won't stop. Love the photo! What a cutie!

it’s a ‘girls only’ weekend in seattle! whewhoo! shopping, dining out without any kids, shopping, consuming tasty beverages, shopping, visiting some old friends, no kids, shopping, no husbands oh, and one other super important reason why we are going to seattle…..
