we (i) have been concerned for sometime about tyler’s hearing because he talks so loud all the time. his daycare providers also expressed concern that he doesn’t seem to respond when they talk to him sometimes. so, is it a real hearing problem or a selective hearing problem. i wanted to find out for sure before he starts kindergarden this fall. so, i took him for a hearing test today.
the verdict: all is well, he can hear just fine.

michelle, keith and the boys came for dinner last night. we had a fabulous time. we don’t get together with them as often as we should. even though it was kind of cool last night, derek was still at his best making pina coladas all night! great drinks, great food, a campfire to roast marshmallows on and a tyler’s first sleepover. it was a good night!

we are waiting for michelle, keith and the kids to arrive for a family fun day. just hope the weather stays nice so that we can maybe go out on the boat later today. this picture was taken last weekend. it was soooo hot here. the kids had a BLAST in the tube!
