gonna get married! this is our good friend spad! a.k.a. steve. he is getting married to his fiance kirsten this weekend in hamilton. does he look scared? he should be! and not because he going to marry his absolutley sweet and beautiful fiance, no, he’s lookin’ scared because derek and i are flying in for the ceremony! yes, look out spaddy, syngy’s comin’ to town!

emily’s favorite doll is alexi, a maplelea girl . i got am email from the maplelea girl website the other day, stating that there is a photo contest going on. they want to see what you and your maplelea girl do for fun in your hometown. the winner will get her picture in the new holiday catalogue plus a $50 maplelea girl gift certificate. these are the pictures that we took tonight and the ones that we will submit to the contest. {leave a comment and let us know which ones you like best!}

we met up with annette, paul, baylee and jarrett on memory island the other night for a bbq. we had such a nice time. they are such a super nice family. just so down-to-earth and easy to get along with. derek and i are happy to have found such wonderful new friends. and the best part is that our kids are literally the same age, so they entertain each other very nicely!

the kids had a great time swimming in the lake. annette and i took the opportunity to snap a few shots before the sun went down completely.

well, not much to talk about…. actually there is alot to talk about, i just don’t have the time right now to do it! life has been crazy busy for me. i have done 3 photo shoots in the last two weeks. two are completely finished and final product has been delivered to both customers. i am in the middle of final edits on the last shoot which i did this past sunday.

got a funny story to tell. i went grocery shopping yesterday. haven’t been for a BIG shop in awhile, so i spent the better part of an hour (maybe even longer) roaming the aisles, filling my cart with food essentials and treats for the family. after waiting in the checkout line up for about 10 minutes (gave me time to read all the crazy headlines on the tabloid magazines) it was finally my turn. so, i loaded up my groceries and the clerk began ringing everything through. i asked for 10 bags and started packing up all the goodies. the clerk then looked at me and said, “that will be $150 something something”. i looked at her and said “i’ll put that on my debit” as i reached into my purse to grab my wallet, only to realize that i had left it in my locker at work! AAAHHHHHHH! i was sooooo embarassed! not to mention frustrated. what a waste of time, for everyone: me, the checkout clerk, the people in line behind me. i had my cheque book, but this particular grocery store wouldn’t accept a cheque. and so, like a dog that has just been scolded for peeing on the floor, i left the store, with my tail between my legs….. and no groceries for my family!

anyway, lets hope the rest of the week gets better. here are a few of my favorites from my friday night shoot! (btw: i got a migraine while i was doing this shoot! it wasn’t very pleasant. i suffered through it even though i couldn’t see very well. i get the visual aura with my migraine. but you know, they turned out well!)
