she’s growing up way too fast. i look at her and wonder where the past nine years have gone. and i wonder what the next nine years will bring….. i can just imagine! i only hope that, no matter what, through it all, she will always remain true to herself and to us, her parents. she dreams of being a singer and an actress. i tell her to reach for the stars and to just believe in herself. anything can happen! she’s such a great kid.

omgosh! my house is in shambles! we are finishing our basement you see, so my craft room is in the crawl space and my rec room is in the spare bedroom. the craft room is ready for paint. derek and i are going tomorrow to pick up the tile for the floor and to pick out a paint colour. i can hardly wait until it’s done. the rec room is all drywalled and the last bit of mud has been put on the walls. the fireplace is “in” but still needs to be hooked-up. it looks so good! it’s going to be such a nice room when it’s done. i have been taking pictures but i’m not going to post them yet. you’ll just have to wait.

we bought a new bedroom suite last weekend. it’s HUGE furniture! so my “old” bedroom was in my livingroom while we moved in the “new” stuff. i told you it was in shambles! now the “old” furniture has been moved down into the spare bedroom…. you can hardly move in there! i’ve got the next 3 days off so i’m gonna be working on getting things back into place.

i said to derek the other night, “it feels like we are moving….”. on a good note though, it has made me want to “declutter” my house big-time! we have got so much stuff…. stuff that we don’t really need or even use anymore. we are collectors! there, i said it! i’ll never say it again!
