nothing much to post about today. we’ve been able to get outside a bit this week with some nice weather. the kids and i went walking last night and tonight. i took my camera along, just in case! i LOVE that the days are getting longer and that spring is finally here! and, of course, i can’t post without putting in a picture. so here’s one of tyler from the other day! i think it’s a new favorite!

i had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago to have lunch and spend the afternoon with one of my closest friends, lisa, and her dd, miss g. (lisa’s dh, dan, joined us too for a quick bite to eat!) we just don’t get to ‘hang out’ like that anymore. life just gets too busy! after lunch, we roamed the streets of town and took lots of pictures of miss g. she was such a star! i really needed an afternoon like this! here are a bunch of my favorites! there were just too many to choose a few!

a conversation that i had with tyler (6yo) last week while we were driving home. i always like to play really dumb to see exactly what they know!

“hey mom?”
“yes buddy”
“you know logan on ‘zoey 101′ ”
“no, i don’t really remember any of their names”
“mom, you know, he’s the guy who gets all the girls! he’s the hot guy!”
“the hot guy?” i was trying so hard not to laugh at this point. “what exactly is a hot guy? does he have flames shooting from his ears or something?”
“no mom, i didn’t say he was on fire mom! he’s hot!”
“oh, so you mean he’s all like sweaty and stuff? ”
“yes. that kind of hot mom!”
“oh, well, why would that make him get all the girls? that’s kind of yucky and gross!”
“well, kenny chesney is sweaty mom and you like him.”

even though i didn’t get any direct sunlight to complete our latest assignment for wendy’s workshop, i did what i could. i actually had to use my hotlights to simulate the sunlight! lol! i plan on doing it all over again as soon as we get some sunshine. i can’t believe we are on our last assignment already!

i know i’ve been complaining alot lately about the weather. i mean, how on earth am i supposed to get my assignments for wendy’s workshop done if the weather doesn’t cooperate? i NEED sunshine! seriously! just to show you how much rain we’ve been getting, remember this picture from about a week ago…..

well, here it is now! we’ve had a TON of rain! i couldn’t even get out past the tree to duplicate the first picture. the fence is almost completely under water.
