ok, now that i’ve got your attention (heehee!) i have to tell you about a conversation between emily and myself earlier today.

she has been an absolute GEM lately. so kind, generous, caring and helpful around the house and with her little brother. it absolutely melts my heart! she’s such a sweet kid. she truly is. i love being with her and i  wish we could spend more time together. (tyler, on the other hand, see yesterday’s post!) lol!

emily was helping me get ready for dinner tonight, doing things  before i even had to ask her too!  so i just HAD to ask this:

me: ok, where did you come from?
emily: who me?
me: yes! i love the new, improved you! where did you come from?
emily: my butt hurts!
me: huh?
emily: because i landed on it when i fell from heaven!

i LOVE this girl so much!

my sweet boy. have you seen him? because he certainly hasn’t been around here lately.

after this past week with him, i would happily trade him to the gypsies! not really, but it has been a trying week.

he’s wining. he’s cranky. he’s crying. he’s been slightly aggressive. he’s having tantrums. he doesn’t want to go to bed. it’s like dealing with a two year old all over again. and it’s exhausting.

i honestly believe it’s caused by his sugar intake. he doesn’t tolerate it very well. so, we have yet, once again, cut out most of the sugar in his diet. unless it’s a naturally occurring one, like in fruit, then he won’t be getting any.

so, if anyone out there has any other advice or remedies, let me know! please! leave a comment. send me an email. anything!

he’s walking a thin line alright!

this is the fourth time i’ve photographed these kids. they gather at grandma’s home every summer and at christmas. i must tell you, they are such a blast to work with and it just makes my job easier and easier every time. i wish all of my sessions went this well.

i’ve got a busy weekend. a wedding shoot tomorrow and then LOTS of house chores and editing for sunday! oh yay!

the kids are gone to grandma’s house for the night so it’s just derek and me. it’s so weird not having them around. but at the same time, it’s also kinda nice to have the place to ourselves. i really miss them when they are gone though. it’s only for the night and then things are back to normal tomorrow.

so, other than that, not much to share. i’m busy editing pictures from a large family shoot that i did over the weekend. i’ll have lots to share later. and i’ve got the second wedding that i’m shooting with erica this saturday. right now, the forcast is calling for rain on and off all day. so, keep you fingers crossed and pray that the weather will change.
