my most favorite season! i love the clean, crisp air. i love the changing colours. it’s the season i was born. it’s the season i got married in. i love everything about it.

i took the kids out a couple weekends ago to do some pictures. we had lots of fun. i’ve been too busy with client editing (you can check it out here) so i have only one to show you for now. check back later this week for more pictures of the kids.

and also to hear about my fabulous weekend in pheonix, where i attended a flash photography workshop, given by the amazingly talented wendy schulz, and met up with some of my wonderful photography friends. we had a blast! but i’ll tell you all about it later. i’m off to bed now!

tyler probably asks if we’ll take him to the skateboard park, at least, every other day. and most of the time he gets the same answer.

"not today buddy!"

i haven’t been too keen on taking him there for many reasons. first, there are lots of older kids there and they really dominate the park. i mean, they are really, really good! he’s only just started riding his bike without training wheels this spring. and secondly, i’m not too keen on him learning how to do all the ‘tricks’ and ‘jumps’ that i know he really wants to learn and that he probably will learn sooner or later. i choose later! much later!

well, on sunday, while i was at my morning shoot, tyler asked daddy if he would take him to the skateboard park. daddy said yes.

so, i met them there.

yes, he had a fall. hurt his elbow. he’s ok. i’m not!

by the time emily started grade one, she was reading. she would read anything she could get her hands on. franklin. junie b jones. she started reading the harry potter series in grade two. she loves to read. and i love that she loves to read.

over the summer we encouraged tyler to start reading. he wasn’t as eager to learn as his sister was. he put up lots of resistance.

"i can’t do it!"

"i don’t remember!"

"i don’t want to!"

well, i am happy to say that he is now reading on his own! and doing very well! he is reading at level 5. most of the kids in his grade one class are reading at a level 2. and the best part is that he’s starting to love it as much as emily does! and i love that he’s loving it too!
