i {heart} fall

October 29, 2008

this has got to be one of the most beautiful autumns that i have EVER seen here on the west coast. we don’t have very many deciduous trees in british columbia so we don’t see the fall colours as much as you would on the east coast. but let me tell you, the colours are unbelievable this year and i am savoring every last minute of it.

i love fall!

stacy t: mmmm- yummy light.

jenny: Beautiful. Is that the view from my guest bedroom window? ;) :D

sneak peek at my peaks

October 28, 2008

{lol! i’m SO funny! i crack myself up!}

things are shaping up nicely at the new house. these are the cedar shingles that i worked so hard staining all weekend long! i had some help from my good friends AJ and michelle! thanks girls! i love you both for helping me out! it would have taken me SO much longer on my own. (i should mention that derek helped too…. for a little…. until i started laughing at how messy he was doing it!) :) i love you too honey! ;)

happy tuesday!

jenny: Ooh. Nice peaks. ;) :D When I saw that AJ was helping you, I thought...whAt?! How did my dad get to BC without me knowing he was going to help the Paton Family? haha (P.S. My dad spells his name A.Jay, so that should have stopped my confusion.)

stacy t: great peek at your peaks. but i think i see you missed a spot on one of the shingles. the last one on the left - two rows down. just kidding...made ya look! can't wait to see more peeks.

first off, i have to apologize to the jones family, for being so utterly late in posting their sneak peek. we shot their session last sunday and i should have had this posted at least 4 days ago! it’s been a whirlwind of a week for me and i’m finally just catching my breathe and getting caught up now. i think it’ll be worth the wait though!

when mandy first found checked out my web site,  it wasn’t long before she realized that we already knew each other. we work at the hospital together, in the laboratory. she’s in microbiology and i’m in transfusion medicine. small world, isn’t it? and, she’s also neighbours my good friend  sarah! (thanks for the referral!) :)

mandy, it was a pleasure to work with you (outside of the lab) :) and your family! i hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

you’re going to be seeing more of this handsome face in the near future! stay tuned for more.

Sarah M: Yeah...I am glad you guys connected!

Mandy: Kathy, Thanks for the sneak peek. We're looking forward to seeing the rest. *smile. It was fun working with you that day and Josh certainly seemed to have a good time. Cheers, Mandy

when marnie first contacted me for their family session, she had such enthusiasm in her voice! she said she wanted natural, realistic. happy and loving images. i couldn’t wait to meet her and her family! i always LOVE meeting new families and this family was so no exception!

thanks for such a great session! i hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

and sometimes, even the best planned shots take on a life of their own. little ‘j’ was having nothing to do with this one! :) but i still love it anyway!

happy friday!

stacy t: beautiful kathy! and so was the previous post/slideshow. breathtaking!!

whew! it’s been a week of playing catch-up and i think it’s safe to say that i’m not winning! i’m a tad bit behind in all my sessions but rest assured, i am getting through them and i will have LOTS to share over the next few days! it’s been a very busy month and i LOVE it!

so, without further ado, here is the slideshow for the elliott family! it was a pleasure working with you all! enjoy!

cheers!

jenny: Love it! What a beautiful family!
