well, today, she received some well deserved recognition for her amazing efforts in the local paper!

“Young Cowichanian raises hundreds for SPCA”
she was interviewed by the paper last week after they learned about her fund raising from sandy, the manager from our local SPCA. i phoned sandy two weeks ago to arrange a time for emily to hand over the money she raised to the shelter. sandy was beyond excited and blown away by emily’s efforts and her success. this past saturday, emily and i had the pleasure of meeting sandy and emily presented her with $458, made up of bills, twoonies, loonies, quarters, dimes, nickles and even a roll of pennies.
i am SO PROUD of my little girl! so proud!
