the christmas glow

it’s starting to look a little like christmas around the paton household today. while the decorating has not yet begun on the inside yet, we managed to get the outside lights up today. it’s such a daunting task and derek does his very best to stay festive and cheerful throughout the process. it’s our first year using the led lights outside and while they aren’t as bright, i must say, i do like them – derek on the other hand, well, let’s just say, i’m working on him.

product feature: boudoir album

first, i have to say thank you to everyone for leaving comments and supporting the cans for comments campaign. i missed a day of blogging yesterday – my apologies! and because of that, i will extend the deadline to december 11. thanks to my good friend sarah for keeping me REAL!bouidoir photography product feature: boudoir album

now, on with the blog post – i love taking pictures. that’s no secret. but what i love even more than that is when my clients love the images i create for them! and i love it even  better than when they want to create a leather album as a keepsake from their session.

below are some shots of a boudoir album that i recently designed for a very favorite client of mine. it’s a christmas gift for someone very special in her life!

20-hinged-pages of amazing images, rich colour, with a leather exterior, all wrapped up in perfect packaging!

my wordle :: on canvas

wordle is a cool website that generates word clouds.  the text within the word cloud can come from a web site or from text that you provide.   it’s lots of fun! go and try it!

earlier this year, a fellow photographer and blogger extraordinaire, lindsay stradtner designed with a wordle template and graciously shared it with everyone.  check out her site.

i finally got around to personalizing her template and designed a wordle  just for my family. i knew immediately that this was something that i wanted to hang on my walls so i decided to have it printed on a 10×20 canvas, since canvas art is so popular right now!  and though i haven’t quite decided where exactly i’m going to hang  it yet i absolutely LOVE it!!

p.s. don’t mind the dust! LOL!! i’ll get to it one day… i swear!
