Finding something interesting in the ordinary

That’s my philosophy.

That’s how I approach photography.

My love and passion for photography truly began in 1997, after the birth of our beautiful daughter. I loved that I could get up close. I loved being able to capture every aspect of her day-to-day wanderings, along with her true personality, through photography. I believe all parents should have beautiful portraits of their children that reflect who they really are. I also believe, that throughout the years, having your family portraits done are just as important.

I was the second daughter born to my wonderful parents, less than one year after the birth of their first daughter. Yes, I said less than a year! To say that the first years were busy for them is an understatement. And because of that, there are very few pictures of me as a baby and toddler. Not that I blame my parents for not taking my picture, because I don’t. They just simply didn’t have time to take any! It’s so important to capture your children when they are young. Time goes by so fast and trust me, you don’t want to miss any of it!

For my clients, I will create a journal. Think of it as a picture diary of memories; professional quality portraits that will last a lifetime.

A typical portrait session runs between one and two hours. I always allow for more time (up to three hours), as little ones often have their own schedules. Your session should be relaxed, so it will never be rushed. I want this to be a postiive experience for everyone involved.

I love to shoot with natural light. It’s the best lighting for portraits, so outdoor locations are best. But, feel free to choose any location you’d like. These are your portraits. My style is more relaxed and non-traditional but, if you would prefer a few traditional styled portraits, we can certainly do those as well.

When we meet for your session, be relaxed, be sincere, and let’s have fun! The results will be portraits for you will cherish for years and years to come.
