once again, i had the pleasure of photographing the cavaye family! this is my fifth time photographing them and i have loved watching the kids grow up over the years! and to make this year even more special, mr. and mrs cavaye were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! CONGRATULATIONS!

on saturday i had the pleasure of photographing the rozon family. they are celebrating mom & dad’s 50th wedding anniversary!! congratulations!! we managed to brave the wind and avoid the rain at saxe point for some wonderful family portraits.

when she received the pictures that i took at her son’s daycare session, she emailed me to ask if i had any openings. she said the pictures were ‘fantastic’ and she wanted to schedule a family session, just for the three of them. i quickly looked at my calendar and gave her some dates. and the rest they say, is history!

i was really looking forward to their session. i remembered little c from the daycare and thought he was such a little cutie! when we met yesterday morning, it was a perfect day! it was overcast (perfect lighting), not raining and best of all, the temperature was very mild.

it was great meeting you sutton family and i hope we get to work together again one day! enjoy your sneak peek!

this past weekend was a busy one to say the least. but that’s the way i like it!

i got to photograph another repeat family on sunday, the murphy’s. i have been photographing them for 4 years now. i just love watching the little ones grow up. such cuties! this time, they brought their extended family along too.

and not only were we lucky enough to get such gorgeous weather for our session but we got to use the ellison property as our location. i was the second photographer at their daughter’s wedding back in 2007 and was thrilled when i learned that i was going to get to go back. beautiful setting!

i love taking pictures! that’s no secret.

but one of the things that i love more is working with and taking pictures of repeat clients. there’s such a feeling of comfort, for both me and the client – it just doesn’t get any better!

this past weekend i met up with the smith family for their fall family portrait session. it was such a beautiful day and we had lots of fun trouncing around oak bay, visiting all their favorite places. here’s a sneak peek.

one of my most favorite things that i do for my clients is making their slideshow after proofing their session. i love the entire process. editing the images, choosing the quote, choosing the song and most especially sending an email to them to let them know that their slideshow is ready. all they have to do is just click on the link and enjoy! and the icing -on-the-cake is that it’s also one of their most favorite things too.

we shot this family session just over two weeks ago and i know they’re all waiting patiently to see the slideshow. well, the wait is over. enjoy your slideshow!

about 2 months ago, i donated a family session with kp photography for the silent auction at the unforgettable gala. i felt very fortunate to have been asked to be a part of such a spectacular event. i wasn’t able to attend the gala myself but i’ve heard many accounts that it was most definitely an unforgettable evening!

about a week after the gala, i received a phone call from the lucky winner of the gift certificate from that silent auction. she told me that she had bid on the family session as a mother’s day gift to herself. what a great gift for mother’s day! she wanted to be able to capture her family just one more time, before the kids are completely grown up and moving on.

we met on saturday evening at their beautiful home in victoria and did their family session in the garden. it was a beautiful evening.

last evening i got to photograph one of my most favorite family clients ever, the mace family et al. i met them last fall when we did their first family session. i felt an immediate connection with them, especially with carolyn. she is so sweet and has the most amazing enthusiasm EVER! i LOVE it! you can’t help but feel good when you’re with her!

for mother’s day, carolyn and her brother gave their mom, a.k.a. ma, a photo session with her grandchildren! they also want to update their own family photos as well. it was a perfect evening to be trouncing around the family “farm” for a photo session. except for the allergies that flared up right in the middle of it all due to the freshly cut fields!
