i asked marcus to tell me a bit a bit himself and this is what he wrote: individuality is huge, as is standing up for the little guy. i can’t stand bullies. music is huge in my life. my favorite genre is jazz, after that its either rap of techno. respect is huge for me. and i believe that you have to earn it. and i think that people often hide inside their comfort zone. i like to explore things that may scare other people. i like expressing idea’s that may offend other people. (but i try to express them in a way that will not offend.) i just like making people think a little more deeply about life.

he also told me that he didn’t photograph very well.

katie is a beautiful girl – both inside and out!  she’s a very BUSY girl too. not only is she studying hard to graduate this year, she’s also got her puppy, her horse, a job AND she’s a model with barbara coultish models in victoria.

i’m proud to have katie as one of my RAD GRAD reps this year! here are a few faves from her session.

meet kecia. she’s one of my RAD GRAD reps this year. she and i hit it off almost immediately – you see, she’s a photographer as well. we talked shop a little bit but the session was all about capturing her uniqueness and personality. i absolutely love her free spirit! oh, to be young again!

meet liss. she’s one of my RAD GRAD reps this year and we had so much fun this past weekend shooting her session. we started off  in my studio and then we moved it outside. we were so fortunate that the rain held off – for most of it, anyways.  liss was great to work with and game for anything. if you are graduation this year and would like to know more about the RAD GRAD sessions, talk to liss about them or contact me directly.

which brings us to renata’s rad grad 2009 photos.

i took the majority of renata’s rad grad photos (which you can see in this post) weeks before the performance but i wanted to take more with her in her costume since dancing has been such a huge part of her life while in high school. she and her sister did an a.m.a.z.i.n.g. jive together for the show. AND it was completely choreographed by them! i was SO impressed!  when the dress rehearsal was finished, we headed out to get a few more shots down by the water.

i absolutely love these images!  she’s such a beautiful girl, both inside and out!

i’m so glad that i’m starting to catch up so that i can start sharing more!!

i first met her a few years ago at steps ahead dance school where she and my daughter both dance. since that time, i’ve had the pleasure to meet and get to know many members of her family, including her cousin andrea & dan.

when i told renata about my RAD GRAD campaign last september, she was so enthusiastic about it and she wanted to be one of my reps. unfortunately, we started just a tad late into the school year but we went ahead and did the session anyway. and what fun we had! i love doing these rad grad sessions!
